Earth Day Celebrated by 2nd Graders at St. Mary School in Crown Point

Second Graders at St. Mary Catholic Community school put on their green and blue and got ready to help the earth. Mrs. Wysocki’s class made stops around the building collecting recycling and bringing it to the school’s recycling receptacle. Students also made fun Earth Day hats, learned about what can and can’t be recycled, when and why Earth Day started, and had discussions about what will happen if we don’t take care of the earth. Students are also working on planting flowers and cleaning up litter around the school property.
